Sauber impressed by new BMW

Former team owner Peter Sauber says he is impressed by the newly launched BMW F1.08 after the car completed its first test at Valencia last week.

"I had the chance of taking a short look at it even before the launch and I have to admit that it really appeals to me," said Sauber. "And this applies not only to the felicitous design and the beautiful colour - I always liked white - alone but there are many, many beautiful details on the car that have been created with a lot of dedication."

"The expectations are higher than in the past and the team wants to secure several podium finishes," he added. "We will have to wait and see to find out what progress has been made by our competitors."
