
Ferrari driver Felipe Massa completed the fastest lap on the second day of testing in Valencia. The Brazilian completed his fastest lap in 1.12.182, which was over half a second faster than any other driver on Tuesday. Williams F1 driver Nico Rosberg was once again fast underway, the German completed the third fastest lap.

Testing in Valencia continued on Tuesday under much better circumstances than on Monday. While on Monday the test was delayed by thick fog the sun was shining and temperatures went up to around 15 degrees in Valencia. The bank holiday in Valencia brought 35,000 F1 fans to the track - an absolute record during a test session. Thousands of fans cheered for every lap Fernando Alonso passed by. The double world champion completed 93 laps on Tuesday with a fastest time of 1.13.315, just over a second behind Massa.
Alexander Wurz completed his first day of testing for Honda but his day didn't got as smooth as the Austrian would have hoped for. Wurz was the slowest driver on track today and in the afternoon he had to wait while his engineers worked on the car.

At BMW Marko Asmer returned at the wheel. Asmer is one of the only candidates left who could join the BMW Sauber F1 team as the team's test and reserve driver. The British F3 champion completed 44 laps today, with a fastest time of 1.13.669, just a tenth faster than BMW driver Nick Heidfeld.
