Williams ready to put new car through paces

22 January 2008

The Williams F1 team is preparing to put its new FW30 car through its paces on Tuesday after a shakedown at the foggy Valencia circuit on Monday when test driver Nico Hulkenberg was at the wheel.

"Monday was an installation day for the FW30," Williams technical chief Sam Michael said. "We got through most of the items on our job list and managed to do plenty of system checks."

"The car is now ready for testing proper, but overall it was a productive first day for the FW30," he added.

Nico Rosberg takes over at the wheel today.
