New Honda lacks driveability - Button

04 February 2008

Jenson Button revealed that Honda is struggling with the 2008 car's driveability as they work to dial the car into the new ECU rules for the upcoming season. Since its launch, the new Honda has failed to show dramatic improvement on pace to last year's car and finished yesterday's test at Barcelona over a second behind the leading pace.

"I am pleased with the reliability of the car," said Button. "Generally, we have made some progress this week but there is still a lot of work to be done in the forthcoming tests."

"The car is completely new which means we are starting from zero in terms of developing the set-up," he added. "We are also experiencing some drivability issues as we work with the new ECU."
