Van der Garde hopes to continue at Force India

Giedo van der Garde has said he is curerntly negotiating a deal with the Force India Formula 1 team to become the team's test driver. The Dutchman was the Silverstone based team's test driver in 2007 and attended several test sessions for the team.

"I hope I can continue testing in Formula 1 with the Force India team in 2008," Van der Garde said at his official website Gigaracing.com. "I tested several times for the Silverstone based team and I really enjoyed my outing for the team. At the moment we're negotiating with the team to get a contract as the team's test driver. Formula 1 is my main goal as a race driver so if I can continue to test in Formula 1 I can get more experience."

Van der Garde will be competing for the P1 Motorsport team in the World Series by Renault in 2008.
