Super Aguri passes crash test

08 February 2008

The 2008 Super Aguri SA08 has passed the mandatory FIA crash tests and has now been cleared to compete in the upcoming F1 season. It was a glimmer of good news for the small team which is currently struggling to sort out its finances.

"I can confirm that the SA08 was signed off for racing by the FIA on Thursday," a Super Aguri spokesperson said.

The team has not yet confirmed its 2008 driver line-up and while it intends to keep Sato and Davidson on the books, the contracts have yet to be confirmed.

Super Aguri will officially launch its new car in Barcelona on 19 February.
