Jarno Trulli is bracing himself for another tough season of F1 and has ruled out the chance of Toyota being able to fight for regular podium finishes in 2008 as winter testing enters its final weeks.
"In the current situation Ferrari and McLaren look to be in a league of their own," Trulli told Autosprint. "So talking about getting podiums in that context is unrealistic."
However, Trulli insisted Toyota was in a better place this year.
"Compared to 2007 our car has improved a lot in overall reliability and performance on long runs, which had been our main problem," he added. "Considering the problems BMW are suffering from, there could be a chance of us getting close to the second level teams like Renault, Williams and BMW."
