Kovalainen fastest on final day at Jerez

Heikki Kovalainen finished this week's Jerez test fastest as McLaren got even more attention for running a new type of wheel rim cover. Kovalainen finished half a second ahead of David Coulthard and Kazuki Nakajima as Red Bull and Williams continued to show impressive pace.

Lewis Hamilton finihed fourth ahead of Kubica, Vettel and Nelson Piquet Jr. Bourdais Heidfeld and Webber rounded off the top ten as sixteen drivers were again in action. The new Honda struggled again with Button and Wurz finishing twelfth and sixteenth.

Sebastian Vettel caused a red flag when his car stopped on track in the afternoon, shortly before Williams test driver Nico Hulkenberg also ground to a halt on track
