Raikkonen enjoying F1 more than ever

Raikkonen enjoying F1 more than ever

19 February 2008

Kimi Raikkonen, often criticised for being very care-free in his attitude to F1, says he is enjoying the sport more than ever, now that he is officially the reigning world champion. However, he warned that he would only keep racing as long as he enjoyed driving, and not because he wants to win any specific number of races or titles.

"Formula One is my job and it's what I love doing," Raikkonen told Sky Italia. "Now I'm enjoying it more than ever because I won. Sometimes luck hasn't been on my side, but there were many other reasons too. Now I'm happy and I don't think much about luck. If you work hard, you can get what you want."

"I want to get good results and win as many races as possible," he added. "I haven't set out to beat the record anyone else or stay in F1 longer. I'll do this as long as I enjoy it."
