Nakajima finishes Barcelona test on top

21 February 2008 / Results / Photos

Williams new boy Kazuki Nakajima finished this week's Barcelona test fastest of all, as weather conditions finally stabilised after the damp track dried off in the early morning. McLaren's Heikki Kovalainen was second ahead of Pedro de la Rosa.

Nakajima was only in action in the afternoon, so only covered 32 laps, but it was enough to go fastest. Behind the leading trio Felipe Massa was fourth, showing strong pace as he completed a number of long runs. Nico Rosberg was fifth ahead of the two Red Bulls of Webber and Coulthard.

Luca Badoer, Fernando Alonso and Timo Glock rounded off the top ten.

There were a number of red flags interrupting action today caused by Webber, Alonso and Kovalainen who all stopped on track. Timo glock had a spin but avoided damaging the car.
