Fernando Alonso says he has no regrets rejoining Renault even though the team only scored one podium finish last season and has been unable to match the pace of front runners in winter testing.
When asked if he regretted his move from McLaren, Alonso told Cadena Ser, "Not at all. When I signed for Renault I knew it was a team that was nearly two seconds behind the leaders in the last race of the season."
"I was not expecting to have a winning car from the first race and people have started to raise the expectations too much, but I'm where I was expecting to be and have no regrets," he added.
Alonso believes the main difficulty Renault has encountered since he won his two titles, was the forced switch from Michelin to Bridgestone tyres.
