According to sources the Williams Formula 1 team is currently searching for a second test driver. GP2 driver Borja Garcia would be the team's main candidate to get signed up for the job and test alongside German driver Nico Hulkenberg.
Williams F1's Rod Nelson was quoted by saying the team was indeed talking with Garcia's management but nothing has been signed so far. Garcia finished 10th in the 2007 GP2 season with the Durango team.
Garcia enjoyed his debut in a Formula 1 car back in 2005 when he was offered a day of testing with the Toyota Formula 1 team at Paul Ricard. Today, Wednesday, Garcia will be testing in Valencia with World Series by Renault team RC Motorsport. In 2006 Garcia only just missed out winning the World Series by Renault title with RC Motorsport and he might decide to take another shot at the title with them in the upcoming season.
