Red Bull Racing driver Mark Webber will enjoy his home Grand Prix this weekend in Melbourne. The 31-year-old from Queanbeyan, Australia, expect it will be a tough and close fight this season with at least three other F1 teams that Webber expects to be as competitive as Red Bull Racing.
"It's going to be a long, tough season again, it's a very competitive industry," Webber said. "Ferrari and McLaren are very strong at the moment, their cars are looking very good, aerodynamically they're in another league at the moment unfortunately.
"It's going to be hard for us to close that down over the course of the year but there's a huge fight...from sixth through 13th is just very, very competitive, which is very painful, I must say, but that's how it is at the moment and we're in that mix."
But Webber believes the season to be better than last year, when the team faced a number of DNF's. "Definitely loads better than last year, no question about it," Webber said. "We won't finish every race (world champion) Kimi Raikkonen didn't sometimes you do have some mechanical problems but if we can get that down to one or two, that's a good season. You'd probably take that compared to last year where it was probably a lot more. Two is the limit."
