Hamilton: Limited experience shouldn't hinder McLaren

13 March 2008

McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton doesn't believe the McLaren team has a disadvantage in terms of experienced drivers. McLaren drivers Lewis Hamilton and Heikki Kovalainen both completed their first season in Formula 1 in 2007, while at other F1 teams there is a driver with at least a few seasons under the belt.

"It's not been a problem and I don't think it will be," Hamitlon said when being asked if it could be a problem for the team having two drivers with just one year of racing in Formula 1. "He (Kovalainen) has got a great career under his belt already, lots of experience as have I. We are both coming into our second year in F1 and we both have the same hunger for winning and pushing the team forward. I think it is quite good that we are both aiming in the same direction.
