Ferrari rues Raikkonen fuel pressure problem
15 March 2008 / PhotosFerrari team manager Luca Baldisseri was distinctly untalkative after qualifying in which reigning champion Kimi Raikkonen suffered a fuel pressure problem in the first qualifying session and ended up qualifying only 16th.
Raikkonen ground to a halt in the pit lane after his first flying lap and needed to be pushed back to the Ferrari garage, which, according to F1 regulations ruled him out of contention in second qualifying.
"Kimi stopped on track, the pit lane is part of the track," Baldisseri explained after qualifying. "Now we have to check what happened but we could have fixed the fuel pressure problem if he'd have made it back to the pits."
"For Kimi he will just have to do what Felipe did last year and we'll have to wait and see what happens tomorrow," he added.
