
The mayor of Sao Paulo has revealed that the Interlagos track has closed a deal with Bernie Ecclestone to host the Brazilian Grand Prix until 2015. The track will also increase its grandstand capacity by an extra 5,000.

Sao Paulo mayor Kassab was quoted by PA saying: "A Formula One GP is one of the big sport events in the world. With the signing of this contract, Sao Paulo has made sure we will host the Brazilian event at least for the next eight years."
The deal has yet to be confirmed by Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone.
