Raikkonen back to winning ways

Kimi Raikkonen was delighted with his return to winning ways after claiming just one point in the Australian Grand Prix. The Finn trailed team mate Felipe Massa up until the first pit stops of the Malaysian Grand Prix, but pulled out some extraordinary pace on his first pit stop in-lap to take the lead.

"Felipe and I were pretty similar on speed - once he pitted my car got much better and I was able to go much quicker on my in lap and able to pass him," Raikkonen said. "After that when I was running on my own the car was perfect and I was able to pull away. After that I don't know what happened to Felipe but it was pretty easy."

"We still have some things to do to get qualifying right but I knew I was running one lap longer so I wasn't too unhappy and knew as long as I could stay close I'd have a good chance to pass him," Raikkonen added. "The car was very good all weekend but sometimes we struggle to get the best out of the new tyres."
