Kubica keeping his feet on the ground

Robert Kubica is not getting carried away after BMW scored two strong second places in the opening two rounds of the season. The Pole remains well aware of the mountain BMW still has to climb to be able to fight on raw pace for race wins.

"I prefer to keep my feet on the ground," says Kubica. "It is still too early to say that we have achieved the targets set for this season. Let's not forget that in order to win races, we must not just close the gap, but need to be quicker than the others."

Kubica sees the performance of the BMW engineers as the most important reason for the success so far this year: "It's mainly because of the very quick reaction time in Hinwil and Munich whenever we faced troubles."
