Mosley sues British tabloid

It was only a matter of time but on Friday it became clear that Max Mosley has filed a lawsuit against British tabloid News of the World over its allegations about his private life. The newspaper claimed Mosley took part in a sadomasochistic orgy with five prostitutes which involved Nazi role-playing.

Since the sextape came out Mosley has been heavily criticised by leading car manufacturers and national motoring bodies. He might soon have to resign from his position as FIA president. A FIA spokesperson said in a statement on Friday that "Lawyers representing Mr Mosley have today served proceedings against the News of the World claiming unlimited damages."
