Felipe Massa's race engineer Rob Smedley was just as happy as his driver after he took victory in the Bahrain Grand Prix and kick-started his championship challenge with a controlling drive in the desert.
"He was under a lot of pressure and in the end he's done what he's supposed to do letting his driving do his talking and that's the result," Smedley told ITV. "In the end we knew we had a bit more fuel than Kimi and we were in front so it was going to be very difficult for him."
Massa had been under pressure after an engine failure in Australia and a driving error in Malaysia left him without a point from the first two rounds.
