Under-fire FIA president Max Mosley says he will be attending the glamorous Monaco Grand Prix on 25 May and has denied that he is deliberately avoiding Formula One.
"I will be going to the Monaco Grand Prix - I live there," Mosley told Autosport. "I only went to one complete Formula One race last year which was Monaco and I was at the complete event because I live there. I was only in Spa last year because of the McLaren business and I never had any intentions of going to Barcelona because I had nothing to do there."
Mosley abandoned his planned trip to the Bahrain Grand Prix three weeks ago, however because of the scandal involving his private life. The FIA still launched its high profile anti-racism campaign yesterday in Mosley's absence.
