Raikkonen shows the way in Spain

Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen completed the fastest lap in both the first and second free practice session at Circuit de Catalunya. Renault drivers Piquet and Alonso surprised a few as the duo completed the second and third fastest lap in the second 90-minute session on Friday.

Fisichella did well on Friday

Friday's second free practice session was an interesting one to watch. At the start of the session Force India drivers Giancarlo Fisichella and Adrian Sutil completed the fastest laps. The men from Silverstone are well on the pace and finished the second free practice session in ninth and tenth.

Renault drivers Fernando Alonso and Nelson Piquet also both topped the time sheets for the job of the Spanish fans in the grandstands. Unfortunately the race will not be sold out like last year, but with over 100,000 tickets sold there will be a lot of support for the Spaniard.

In the final minutes Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen improved the fastest lap of the day with a 1.21.935, just a tenth of a second ahead of Nelson Piquet and Fernando Alonso.
