Williams technical director Sam Michael says his team is happy with its driver pairing of Nico Rosberg and Kazuki Nakajima despite the fact that it is one of the youngest and least experienced on the grid.
"They are both young, you can't deny that," Michael said. "Nico has been driving F1 cars for four years now because he was a test driver for a year before he started racing. He has come on a lot but he is clearly not the same age as guys who have been driving three or four times as long as him. But he is doing a good job. Kazuki is obviously a rookie."
"We do have a very young driver line-up but that can bring benefits as well in terms of enthusiasm and ability to look outside of the box," he added. "But it means the race engineers and the people at the top need to inject the experience to tell them what to do and what not to do. Throughout F1 you always get different driver line-ups. Sometimes they are positive and sometimes you just need to help them out more but so far they have done a good enough job with the car."
