Alonso's praise for team

Fernando Alonso was full of praise for his Renault team after developments the team made in testing at Barcelona last week enabled him to qualify second for his home Grand Prix and even fight for pole position.

"It feels unbelievable and it's difficult to describe because the team made a huge effort to move the car forward," Alonso said. "We started the season with a little bit of disappointment because we expected to be a bit stronger than we were and now is not the time to give up - it's time to work even harder and the team has done that amazingly."

"We're racing each time and aiming to raise our level each time and we're doing it which is really making me happy," he added.
