Nico Rosberg endured a tough weekend at Barcelona in which he initially went the wrong way with his car set-up in practice and was forced to play catch-up, then in the race when things looked like they might be coming together, he suffered his first engine failure of the season.
"I made a great start from 15th position on the grid and managed to overtake Timo Glock, Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello into the first corner," Rosberg said. "By the end of the opening lap I was up to 11th, from where I could lay the foundations for a strong race. I made my first pitstop on lap 22, just before Heikki Kovalainen had his crash, and I was up to seventh by lap 35. Prior to my retirement, the race was going well."
"There's no test session planned between now and the next race, the Turkish Grand Prix, so we need to analyse the data from Barcelona to ensure that we hit the ground running at Istanbul Park," he added. "I finished seventh there last year and think the track will suit the FW30, so I'm looking forward to the race."
