Toro Rosso to debut STR3 in Monaco

Toro Rosso to debut STR3 in Monaco

05 May 2008

The Scuderia Toro Rosso team will not use the team's brand-new STR3 at this weekend's Turkish Grand Prix as planned the team has said. The team rescheduled the car's debut and it is expected to be raced for the first time at the Monaco Grand Prix at the end of May.

At last month's test in Barcelona both Sebastien Bourdais and Sebastian Vettel were scheduled to cover the miles with the team's new car but an early heavy crash by Bourdais stopped the team from testing. Next week the team will travel to Paul Ricard to continue its schedule test with the new car.

A team spokesperson explained to GPUpdate.net: "Unfortunately we're not ready yet to race the new car this weekend. We plan to race the car in Monaco. This way we have an extra opportunity next week to test a couple of days more with our new car."
