Hamilton not happy with third

Lewis Hamilton could barely hide the fact that he was not happy to qualify third on the grid for the Turkish Grand Prix, behind team mate Heikki Kovalainen after Hamilton chose opted to go a different way from his team mate and take on hard tyres in the pole shoot out.

"It was a tough qualifying session for me," Hamilton said. "I had a great lap in Q1, and in Q2 I struggled a bit on the option tyre, so I opted for the prime in the final session because I thought it would be more consistent, but obviously I made the wrong decision."

"It wasn't too bad a lap - I struggled on my first flying lap which was terrible, and the second one was an improvement, but it still wasn't quick enough," he added. "I think we've got a good package this weekend and Heikki and I have shown we're up there with the Ferraris and we should be able to push them hard in the race."
