Barrichello celebrates 257th Grand Prix

11 May 2008

On Sunday morning Rubens Barrichello was honoured for his Formula One record. The Brazilian will enjoy his 257th Grand Prix on Sunday afternoon and hopes to make it to 300. "It feels like I started yesterday," he told the gathered media.

Looking back at the start of his career Barrichello said: "During my first years at Jordan I thought Formula 1 was so difficult. There were a lot of things to do and it just wasn't the pleasure of driving though it was fun. I never thought I could get here with so much pleasure and ambition.

"I don't know if I will make it to 300 races but I will try because of friend of mine used to say that 'racing was in my blood' and I really feel it like that."
