Felipe Massa was delighted to fend off pressure from a three-stopping Lewis Hamilton to take a third straight Turkish Grand Prix victory.

"It's just fantastic, it was a very difficult race as Lewis was pushing me hard for the whole race and I thought he was very light at the beginning because he was pushing so hard and when I did my pit stop, he was still right there, so I wondered if he had taken less fuel and then the team told me he was on three stops," Massa said.

"He was very strong at that stage and I couldn't hold him so he passed me, but I knew that I had a good chance still to win the race as three stops is a bit optimistic and I just needed to build a gap," he added. "It was difficult, but we made it. A third win in Turkey is just amazing."

Massa's second win of the season puts him level on points with Lewis Hamilton, but officially second in the standings courtesy of his two race wins to Hamilton's one. Massa has 28 points, seven behind team mate Raikkonen.
