McLaren is closer to Ferrari - Kovalainen

Heikki Kovalainen is certain that McLaren has made progress since the Spanish Grand Prix and has closed the gap to Ferrari, although he concedes that the Italian team is still the one to beat.

"I think it looks like we are closer but having said that, we know the Ferraris are always going to be strong, whether it's in qualifying or whether it's in the race or whether it's in free practice or whatever," Kovalainen said.

"Even the other teams are going to be strong, so I think the fact is that we cannot take anything for granted and we just have to push everything to the maximum," he added. "But hopefully the feeling this weekend is that we are closer."
