In the south of France ten Formula One teams began their three-day test in preparation of the Monaco and Canadian Grand Prix.
There were a few problems during the day for BMW Sauber's Robert Kubica. The Polish driver tested a number of new aerodynamic parts and electronics but his day ended early due to an oil leak.
At Scuderia Toro Rosso Sebastian Vettel completed his first day of testing with the team's new car: the STR03. Vettel completed 91 laps without any major problems and ended fifth, just behind Mark Webber.
