Ferrari technical director Luca Baldisserri admitted that it was a poor decision on Felipe Massa's race strategy and a decision to switch him to a one-stop race during the Monaco Grand Prix that lost him the lead and put him behind Hamilton and Kubica.
"We have to look over the data," Baldisserri said. "We were fuelled to the end but I'm not sure it was the right strategy. We were expecting rain, but it didn't come and we needed to pit for tyres anyway, so it was a mistake."
"At the end of the day we lost the race which I think in a different situation would have been in our hands," he added. "We are behind in the championship now which is a bigger motivation for us to fight back again."
