A tearful Adrian Sutil was struggling to come to terms with the dramatic and tragic end to his heroic drive in the Monaco Grand Prix. The Force India driver was running in a strong fourth place with less than ten minutes to go when Kimi Raikkonen lost control of his Ferrari under braking for the chicane, and took Sutil out of the race.
"It's really a shame because we were so close and Kimi crashed into my rear and destroyed our best race, and the best race of my career," Sutil said. "I knew that we had a chance in the rain, and I knew from last year I was really strong here and after the first lap I liked the conditions and took it easy not to go off."
"When I had a chance to push I did and made progress and did good and it's just so disappointing that in the last few laps all my hard work was over," he added.
