Eddie Jordan: Mosley should take this success and step down

03 June 2008

Even though FIA president Max Mosley got his vote of convidence on Tuesday at the extraordinary meeting former F1 team boss Eddie Jordan believes Mosley should step down after hearing all the comments on his position at the FIA.

Speaking to the BBC Jordan said: "My hope is he will think about the damage [done]. This is not a moral issue, it's a practical one. There are a lot of countries where F1 goes and lots of the rulers of those countries don't want to deal with him.

"I hope Max uses this as a success and say 'look, I told you so, but I am standing down'. That's my guess. It might be an optimistic view and that he just wanted to prove to himself that he was still in control and could leave without any pressure. He should see the news, listen to all the comments and then go."
