
McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton will start the Canadian Grand Prix from pole position again. The Briton completed the fastest lap in all three qualifying sessions. BMW Sauber F1 driver Robert Kubica will join Hamilton at the front row in Sunday's race.

Saturday's qualifying session got underway with just 19 drivers. Scuderia Toro Rosso driver skipped the qualifying session. The German crashed out of this morning's free practice session. His heavily damaged car was not repaired in time for qualifying. Vettel will start Sunday's race with a new chassis from the pitlane.
Toyota driver Jarno Trulli faced a lot of oversteer with his Toyota. The Italian spun three times in qualifying, but still managed to qualify himself in fourteenth position.
It was a short qualifying session for Honda driver Jenson Button. The Briton completed just one flying lap as he faced technical problems and was unable to continue his qualifying run.
At the end of Q2 Red Bull driver Mark Webber crashed into the wall. The crash came as a surprise as Webber already secured himself a place in the final qualifying session when he crashed.
As Webber's car was towed off track there were just nine drivers in the final qualifying session. Lewis Hamilton was clearly the fastest driver. His fastest lap was half a second faster than Robert Kubica. Kimi Raikkonen and Fernando Alonso will start Sunday's race from the second row. Ferrari driver Felipe Massa will be disappointed with his performance. The Brazilian qualified in sixth.
