Davidson: It was good to be back

Anthony Davidson returned behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car last week for the Honda F1 team. After his team Super Aguri was unable to continue in Formula 1 Davidson's future in F1 was unclear, but the Briton was pleased to get an invitation from Honda to help the team in its preparations for the upcoming French Grand Prix.

Speaking about his F1 return Davidson said: "It was good to be back on track this week after such a long absence. We had a positive day of testing which allowed us to achieve some interesting work with the aero and mechanical evaluations ahead of the French Grand Prix. I am pleased to have to been to contribute to the test programme and help the team this week whilst Alex has been competing at Le Mans."

Davidson completed over 80 laps on Thursday for the Honda F1 team with a fastest time of 1.23.208.
