Glock enjoying confidence boost

Glock enjoying confidence boost

21 June 2008

Toyota driver Timo Glock says he is enjoying a major confidence boost after taking his first points of the season in style at the Canadian Grand Prix in fourth.

"It was nice at the end to get the first points, that is pretty clear," said Glock, who had struggled to match team mate Trulli until that point in the season. "But at the end I didn't think it changed how I go into a weekend. It is maybe a bit easier but at the end it would be great to score in all races now a couple of points but that will be difficult. But Montreal was definitely a key weekend and quite positive for the team and for the people back in Cologne I think it was a good step."

"I think we have made a quite a lot of progress but at the end with the results you could not really see it," he added of his season so far. "We were a bit unlucky in Bahrain with the problem with the clutch and in Turkey in qualifying with the broken front suspension and then in Monaco when I made a lot of mistakes. It was not really clear to see but I think at the end in Montreal everything came together and it worked out and I was quite happy with it."

"From race to race I just get more confident and I just know more about the car and just how it works," he concluded.
