Coulthard has no other plans

10 July 2008

David Coulthard says he has no plans to race in any other series once throws in the towel at the end of this season with Red Bull. At the time of his retirement announcement, Coulthard only said he was retiring from F1 and seemed to leave the door open to other racing opportunities.

"I haven't got any intention of racing in anything else," Coulthard said during a break in testing at Hockenheim. "The only reason I said I haven't hung up my helmet is because in a few months or a year, if there's an opportunity to race something I think might be interesting then everyone would end up saying I'm coming out of retirement."

"I'm retiring from F1 and after 15 years here I recognise that it's the right time to stop racing in F1," he added. "I am going to continue to help Red Bull progress as a team. I will still come out to test and I'll still keep fit and be active on that side."
