McLaren deny moving for Rosberg

McLaren team boss Martin Whitmarsh has denied rumours that his outfit is trying to lure Nico Rosberg over from Williams for the 2009 season, as Lewis Hamilton's team mate.

"We can confirm that we've not had any contact with Nico Rosberg or with his management about him driving for us next season," Whitmarsh said. 

The rumours began to mount after Willi Weber made comments to Germany's Bild newspaper earlier this week.
