Buemi eyes Toro Rosso for 2009

Red Bull Racing test driver and GP2 race driver Sebastien Buemi hopes to replace Sebastian Vettel at Scuderia Toro Rosso next season in Formula 1. The Arden driver sees Vettel move to Red Bull Racing which could be a perfect opportunity for Buemi to make the final step into Formula 1.

"For me my main objective is to try and finish well in the GP2 season this year, but then the objective is really to be in the Toro Rosso next season," Buemi told ITV. Buemi is currently testing for Red Bull Racing in the South of Spain. "The tests are really important for me as well because I can perform in front of everybody and show them that I am able to do the job. Also if I do well in GP2, then everything should go all right," he explained.
