Force India to run new gearbox at Valencia

Force India to run new gearbox at Valencia

03 August 2008

The Force India Formula 1 team enjoyed a successful three-day test at Jerez last week with the team's brand-new seamless shift gearbox. The team continued testing the new gearbox on Friday in Hungary and decided to race with it in Valencia.

The Force India F1 team expects to win at least a few tenths of a second with the seamless shift gearbox and is thus looking forward to run it during a race. The team has now confirmed it will race the new gearbox at the next race. "We are very optimistic about running the seamless shift gearbox and look forward to actually racing it in Valencia," confirmed the team's co-owner Vijay Mallya.

The Valencia Grand Prix will take place in three weeks time.
