Brawn confident of Honda progress

Brawn confident of Honda progress

08 August 2008

Honda team boss Ross Brawn says he remains confident that his team's 2008 car will continue to make good progress this season, despite having introduced its last major upgrade of the year, with a new suspension.

"when you're looking at the improvements that come from the suspension, they're difficult to quantify," Brawn told Autosport. "If you get the dampers working a bit better you know it is better, but how much lap time or how much consistency does that really mean? It's difficult to quantify, so it will be interesting to see how it all works."

"This system has not been fully optimised because we haven't done enough rig testing on it," he added. "In the August break we have got some time on rigs to really scan it properly and tune it properly for Valencia."
