Kubica fastest in final practice

BMW's Robert Kubica went fastest in final practice this morning, ahead of qualifying at the all new Valencia street circuit. He put in a clean lap to finish 0.1s ahead of Nico Rosberg and Sebastien Bourdais.

The session started in dry, but cloudy conditions and overnight rain had washed away any rubber the cars managed to put down in yesterday's two practice session. 

Kazuki Nakajima followed up Williams team mate Nico Rosberg's second fastest time by going fourth, albeit half a second off the pace and just a fraction of a second clear of Felipe Massa.

Sebastian Vettel ended the session sixth ahead of Lewis Hamilton who seemed to struggle throughout the session, making a mistake early in the session and spinning on his final flying lap.

Nick Heidfeld ended eighth ahead of Coulthard and Piquet. Local hero Fernando Alonso finished the session thirteenth after almost losing his car on his final flying lap. 

Toyota's Jarno Trulli only managed to complete two laps, none timed, as he fought a problem on his car.
