Scuderia Toro Rosso will test GP2 driver Sebastien Buemi at Jerez next month with a view to him driving for the F1 outfit next season. Toro Rosso has yet to confirm its driver line up for next season, but Sebastian Vettel is already confirmed at Red Bull Racing, and there is no word yet on Sebastien Bourdais' future at Toro Rosso.
"We will test Buemi at Jerez," Toro Rosso co-owner Gerhard Berger told Autosport. "It's an evaluation test for next year."
Speaking further about his driver line-up plans, Berger said, "The ideal situation would be to have a young driver and an experienced one. We're putting everyone on the list who is free, but there's no clear idea at this stage. We will take our time."
