Ferrari will have no reservations about making reigning champion Kimi Raikkonen play a supporting role to Felipe Massa if needed, as this year's championship looks set to go down to the wire.
"If needed Kimi will help Felipe," Ferrari team boss Stefano Domenicali told the Gazzetta dello Sport. "We spoke about that possibility at the start of the eason but let's wait and see how things turn out first."
Raikkonen has struggled to match Massa's form in the past few races and his engine failure in Valencia dropped him behind the Brazilian in the drivers' championship, a move that many are seeing as a signal Ferrari should finally get behind Massa for the title challenge.
