Massa tops first free practice at Spa

Felipe Massa has completed the fastest lap at Spa-Francorchamps this morning. At the Belgian track the Ferrari driver completed his fastest lap in 1m47,284, which waas almost half a second faster than team mate Kimi Raikkonen who finished second. McLaren drivers Hamilton and Kovalainen ended third and fourth.

The 90-minute free practice session got under way at 10.00am at the legendary Spa-Francorchamps. The session was without any incidents. Some drivers made small mistakes coming out of a corner but there wasn't even a spin. The only driver with a small problem was Toro Rosso driver Sebastien Bourdais. Bourdais had to park his car near the pitlane entrance as the Frenchman was on his way back at to his pitbox at the end of the session.

At Honda the team will start praying for rain. The team ended last in the first free practice session.
