Kovalainen lost out in middle sector

Heikki Kovalainen put his McLaren third on the grid for tomorrow's Belgian Grand Prix, splitting the two Ferraris but the Finnish driver seemed disappointed to have not been able to challenge team mate Lewis Hamilton for pole.

"It's been a pretty good weekend all the way through," Kovalainen said. "W've had no big problems with the car, just making a few tweaks to increase the pace all the time."

"It was a straightforward qualifying for me, no big problems but not quite enough to be further up the grid for me, but we'll see what we can do tomorrow," he added. "I lost a bit in the middle sector on my final lap but we have to find out where. That's luck I guess and sometimes the way it goes."
