Hamilton happy with six points

28 September 2008 / Results / Photos

Lewis Hamilton may have been slightly disappointed not to have been in contention for the win in Singapore, but the McLaren driver was happy with six points for third place which takes him seven clear of title rival Felipe Massa.

"My pit stop went really well," Hamilton said. "I had to wait because there were a few cars coming past so I lost a bit of time but it didn't cause me any trouble. We had great pace I was just a bit unfortunate and got stuck behind DC who was a good second slower than everyone in front of us."

"It was difficult to get close enough to pass him. He drove a good race but so did Fernando and Nico and it's good to be up here with them," he added. "We got some good points today."

Hamilton has a seven-point lead with three races remaining.
