Fernando Alonso's claimed Renault's first victory since Suzuka 2006 but according to Renault F1 team boss Flavio Briatore that won't mean Alonso will remain at his team for another season.

Fernando Alonso showed a strong performance all weekend in Singapore and got his reward when the Spaniard finished first after almost two hours of racing through the streets of Singapore. Alonso signed a one-year deal at Renault at the start of the season with an option to stay for 2009. He is only likely to stay when Renault can offer him a winning car again.
One victory though won't make much of a difference according to Briatore. "Well, it's not a victory that changes a situation," Briatore told F1.com. "We have a good relationship with Fernando, we are talking together, and we will be happy with his decision. That is all that I can say for the moment."
