
Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo has hit out at new F1 street circuit venues such as Singapore and Valencia claiming that it is 'embarrassing' for the entire sport that a safety car is needed to make the races more exciting.
"Unfortunately when we race on circuits where staging a carnival or something else would be better, anything can happen, because the spectacle is supplied by the safety car," di Montezemolo told the Gazzetta dello Sport. "It's embarrassing for F1."
"I want to talk about this with all the other team bosses in the upcoming weeks," he added. "
